Hi everyone,

This is my first time studying Condensed Matter Physics, and I have found the book by Chaikin and Lubensky, which has also been listed as the first book to study the subject in the list given here.

But in the introduction, the book says that it will only consider the classical analysis of condensed matter. Will this book be sufficient for me as an introduction, because I want to study the basics of condensed matter physics, but also want to know its application in Bose-Einstein Condensates and also the quantum effects of condensed matter, like superconductivity, superfluidity etc. in more detail. Should I continue with this book, or should I get some other book to study?
